Midland Lutheran’s Financial Aid Office just shared information about seven scholarships:
1. Nebraska Bankers are offering 12 scholarships of $1,000 each for Business Majors. Deadline was extended to Feb. 15.
2. The Indian Health Services Scholarship Program offers scholarships to American Indian and Alaska Native students. New applicants must submit an application by March 28 and continuing students must apply by Feb. 28.
3. Lower Republican Natural Resources District offers two $1,000 scholarships to students who live in the district and are majoring in a natural resourses-related field. Application deadline is April 1.
4. Independent Insurance Agents offers scholarships to Nebraska residents who are Business Majors - preference given to those in an insurance-related field. Deadline is March 31.
5. The Bethesda Institute has two $3,000 scholarships available for active communicant members of a Lutheran congregation who are studying in an area of service to people with developmental disabilities. Application deadline April 15.
6. The Soroptimists have a $2,000 scholarship for a female student preferrably studying public service, a non-traditional field for
women or international studies. Deadline is Feb. 15.
7. The John Gyles Education Awardof up to $3,000 is open for applications until May 1.
