Reminder: Midland Express is all kinds of easy

I got a note from the friendly folks in the Registrar’s Office about the Midland Express.

With class registration right around the corner, there is no better time than now to get familiar with the convenience and ease of the Midland Express system.

Midland Express is a one-stop shop for student services including financial aid, billing and registration. For example, students used to have to visit the business office for a copy of their bill and then the Registrar’s office for a copy of their schedule. Now they can access all that information online. We also want to make students more aware of the services available online through Campus Connect and the Internet.

You can use the Midland Express website at mymlc.mlc.edu from any computer (does not have to be a MLC computer), which has downloadable forms, a searchable Frequently Asked Questions area and links to important websites for financial aid, billing and registration. In addition, there are self-service stations located in the Midland Express area or you can visit any of our offices and we will be able to assist you.

So, instead of trekking across campus, and possibly waiting in line, to get your schedule, see your bill, a obtain copy of your student standing for your folks, or  register for a class, you can access all of that from any computer (On- or Off-campus). It’s fast, easy, and secure.

I remember when my college went to a phone-based registration system.* Suddenly, I didn’t have to carve out an hour or so to stand in line just to get a schedule or register for a class. It was, in a word, awesome.

If you have not yet tried the Midland Express, you really are missing out on a quick, efficient, safe method of accessing your records. Once you try it, I have a feeling you’ll never want to stand in line again.

*Yes, I’m old. Deal with it
